Green Sea Clay (also known as Dead Sea Clay) is an
extremely gentle natural clay with a soft moss color and is kind to all
skin types due to its high mineral content and excellent oil absorbing
properties.
This clay helps to revitalize tired skin which is why
many spas use it to tighten pores and remove impurities and excess oils
and brighten the complexion when used as a body wrap clay, face
masques, etc.
It is also thought that this clay can remove acne causing toxins from the skin.
Instructions For Using As A Facial Mask
The Benefits of Clay Masks
A clay mask has many benefits. It stimulates and increases
circulation, tightens sagging skin, refines enlarged pores, exfoliates
by lifting dead skin cells and cleanses the skin like nothing else!
When applied to the skin the clay works itself into
the pores and follicles. The clay binds itself to dirt and debris
trapped in the pores. When the mask is removed the clay carries all
this trapped debris with it leaving your pores clean and refreshed.
How To Use: Mix
1 part clay to 3-4 parts water. You might need more or less water,
so add
water slowly until the clay becomes a thick creamy paste. It is
best to use a glass, pottery, or wooden bowl. Stir the mixture until
it is a
smooth paste and add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply
approximately 1/8 inch
thick layer of clay to the face or other areas and let it dry
completely. Drying times
vary, but times are generally 30 minutes. You will feel a pulling
and tightening sensation due to
deep pore cleansing. Remove clay by first patting face with warm
water to
saturate clay and then gently wipe face with a soft wash cloth using
warm water.
After clay is removed, pat face with cold water to seal pores. A
slight
redness may appear after removing the clay. This is normal and will
disappear in approximately 30 minutes. Clay helps to remove dirt and
impurities from the pores of the skin. Clay can be used by the whole
family,
men and women. *Note: Clay may stain a light colored wash
cloth.
